Our mission is to make booking any service — from a haircut to a home repair to a private chef — as simple as booking a table for dinner. Independent service businesses deserve modern software, and their customers deserve clarity about what they're paying for and when.

Payments are processed securely through an encrypted checkout. Customers pay the deposit each business sets — refundable or non-refundable is disclosed on every listing before checkout — plus a one-time booking and processing fee of 3.85% of the full service price. When a booking is made more than 24 hours ahead, the deposit is charged today and the remaining balance is charged automatically 24 hours before the appointment; 24 hours or less before the appointment the full amount is charged today. Funds are routed to the business's payout account, minus BookFreely's 5% platform fee. A business becomes active on the marketplace once its subscription is active, its account is in good standing, and it has a service that meets our publication requirements. Identity verification is handled by our secure payments partner and is separate: it is what unlocks payouts and the Verified badge, so not every listed business is already identity-verified. Until a business is approved, its share of each payment is held by BookFreely as a pending transfer and released automatically afterwards — customers are never charged twice.

Most service bookings still happen through phone calls, DMs, and calendar screenshots. That's stressful for customers who don't know what they're committing to, and painful for businesses juggling reminders, no-shows, and payment collection. BookFreely brings both sides into one place with the transparency and safety of a real marketplace.
